General Information

At Parker United, our competitive soccer program is rooted in player development. We provide each player the chance to grow in a challenging, supportive environment. Our professional coaches focus on building both individual and team skills, tailored to each player’s abilities and goals. With an emphasis on physical, mental, and social development, we maintain a positive, high-energy atmosphere. The level of training, competition, and opportunities in our competitive program goes far beyond what traditional recreational soccer offers, pushing players to reach their full potential.

Early Player Development

Some kids have an unstoppable passion for soccer and need more of a challenge. But even the most athletic players can miss out on key fundamentals if they rely on raw talent alone. That’s where Parker United’s professional coaching staff comes in – we know how to unlock the full potential of every player, no matter their skill level. The best time to start working with our coaches is early, with the competitive program starting at age 7. Occasionally, exceptional 6-year-olds may ‘play up’ with guidance from our coaches, who will assess if it’s the right fit for your child.

Year-Round Program

All players participate in annual tryouts each spring, giving our coaches the opportunity to evaluate and place them on a team that best fits their current skills and abilities. We strive to ensure that every player who wants to be a part of Parker United finds the right team to help them grow and succeed. Unlike our recreational programs, which are seasonal, joining a Parker United competitive team is a commitment for the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. This extended commitment allows for more focused development and a deeper connection to the team. For U9 and U10 players, the Winter season is offered as a separate program, providing additional opportunities to advance their skills during the off-season.

Fall and Spring Training and Play

Training
All U14 and younger teams will train twice a week during the Fall and Spring seasons, with additional free-play nights offered throughout the year. For U15 and older teams, training follows a different schedule based on the season. Girls will play club soccer in the Fall and Winter, while boys will focus on Winter and Spring to accommodate high school soccer. U15 and older teams generally train two to three times per week, ensuring players continue to develop their skills and teamwork.

Game Play
Parker United competitive teams participate in leagues providing the right level of challenge for each team. To maximize playing opportunities, tournaments and play dates are added throughout the year. Typically, teams play in one to three tournaments in the Fall and three to four in the Spring, though younger teams may participate in fewer events based on their development level.
