U7 /U8 Player Pathway
At Parker United, the U7/U8 age groups are where players start to expand their skills and game understanding. These groups includes both brand-new players and those who’ve been playing for a year or more, with most kids having some experience with the game by now. Teams can be co-ed upon request, but otherwise, they typically split into Boys Only and Girls Only teams.
All U7/U8 teams enjoy a 9-week season with weekly training sessions and 8 weeks of games in the Parker United In-House Recreational League. At this level, we also introduce the Junior Academy skill group for players who are looking for increased training and competition.
Primary League Information
Parker United Recreational+ – $220/Season
– Please note that if you do not already have a uniform, you’ll need to purchase a $75 uniform kit which has a home and away jersey, shorts, and socks. These jerseys are customized with your child’s last name and number.
- Two 90-minute training sessions each week, Monday and Friday.
- Games are played in a 5v5 format with a goalkeeper
- Game Day every Saturday in the Parker United In-House League, featuring one game each weekend for 8 weeks, plus an extra training week before games begin.
- Coach and teammate requests are honored whenever possible.
Additional Info
- The Fall season runs from the end of August through late-October, and the Spring season runs from mid-March through mid-May. Each season includes a 9-week program with 8 weekends of games and an additional week of team training to kick off the season.
- Teams are coached by dedicated parent volunteers, with support from our Director of Coaching (DOC), who provides structured training plans for all teams.
- U7/U8 age teams are typically boys only, or girls only, and play in a fast-paced 5v5 format. Teams may be co-ed depending on total enrollments for a given age group. Teams are made up of 7-8 players each to maximize touches and player development.
